this is what one of mine looked like after a blown head gasket on #3


not visible in that pic is deep cracks between the valves on #3, that head was deemed scrap by the machine shop, so I scored this one off a forum member, already cleaned, machined and prepped, ready to go.

An '86 744 showed up at the local picknpull. I got the head off of it. It looks pretty good...it's not warped...no pitting.
The odometer only read 199k but who knows. It had temp tags that expired 4th of July. It was wrecked at the front passenger wheel well.
I'll get this new one on and see what happens

Yeah i saw that after your post...rubbing on it with my finger caused the line to go away...i didnt feel anything in the actual metal
