Default could it be the flame trap

well while taking apart my car i found that there is no flame trap or vac. line runing to the manifold. could this be the cause of my rough idle?

I would say It could have a little something to do with it.I would not say it would be the main cause.

Looks like you almost have it.They always kind of have a little hesitation.I had a 82 240 with the CI injection and that thing was alomst as slow as a turtle. But it was a 5-speed and you could work with it a little.

its getting better. dug a little deeper today, found that the knock sensor was disconnected. put it back on, cleaned the idle air control valve the best i could, couldnt get that guy out. adjusted the idle in drive. running better but still have to babysit it while it warms up. ill keep tinkering, any suggestion would be great. i dont think the previous owner did much with it. thanks tech
