My oil light comes on when at idle, after I accelerate it goes off. any fixes?

 

It could be a faulty oil pressure sender. I would have the oil pressure checked with a test gauge.

 

This is a really simple one but do you have enough oil in it? When was the last time you changed the oil and filter? Are you using the right grade of oil?

 

yes it has enough oil, doesn't even leak oil. From what I have heard the oil system is sensitive to any air leaks, so any cracks in some of the air hoses could cause the problem. I just wanted to verify that the info is true.

the symptoms you describe indicate low oil pressure which can be due to worn out oil pump or plain worn out engine. how many miles on the car? i'd start by addressing the oil/filter issues and go from there.
