Default DEXRON II E/D Transsmission Fluid? Huh?

Hey everyone,

I bought the tranny flush kit from IPD for my 92' 940 non-turbo automatic and it states that I should be flushing with DEXRON IIE or DEXRON IID gear oil. I've never even heard of these much less seen them at auto parts stores. After a little investigation I've read that these are supposedly no longer available and that DEXRON III is the evolution of these oils. Is this really the case and will I damage my transmission if I use the DEXRON III? If this is true, does anyone recommend a specific brand of DEX III for old bricks? Thanks!
