Default Does an 1988 740 turbo have a low fuel light?

i just got the car yesterday it was right above teh red wheni picked it up. Filled it up and it only took 45 liters (11-12gallons) so wasnt sure if it just has a small tank or there was still quite a bit of gas in it. Not knowing the car i filled it up as it was right before the red. How big are the tanks on this thing? I have the 740 turbo wagon 1988.

thanks guys and appreciate the patience. also what kind of gas mileage should I expect? the car is an automatic.

Hi Saleen,

Answers to questions like that can be gotten by obtaining the owners manual for your car from Volvo USA

LINK to Volvo Publications

Many more questions can be answered in the Volvo FAQs site
700/900 FAQs LINK

On my '94 wagon, the tank is 19.75 gallons and the low fuel light glows with 1.6 gallons left, just like the manual says!

A good running Turbo should get around 19-20MPG. YMMV depending on how much power you crave!

Can someone just answer my question? I dont feel like spending money to buy an owners manual for a car I paid $500 for.
On a lighter note i got 522km to my first tank (city and hwy)

I don't think they did at all.
