Door sill trim removal tips?
Hi. A search of this forum didn't reveal anything; does anyone out there know how to remove the black plastic molding on the bottom of the door opening on a 240? I'm trying to replace the seat belts in this car and have gotten the B pillar trim piece along with the top belt bolt removed; it appears that the door sills have to have be at least part way removed in order to slide that trim piece up to remove it and expose the retractors.
I don't want to damage these pieces; does the sill pull out from the body, or perhaps slide up and then out? Thanks,Bob

Bob, they lift straight up. Held on by metal clips to the soon to be exposed pinch weld. They are pretty darn sturdy; I've never broken one. Start at one end and pry up with a wide screwdriver. Once it's started just give a yank straight up.
