Default electric ignition impulse transmitter

where is the electric ignition impulse transmitter? I had it replaced last year and I think it's giving me problems again. I'd like to make sure the wires aren't touching anything like they were before. 1992 240 wagon. thanks

Default RE: electric ignition impulse transmitter

Maybe the speed sensor?
I don't know anypart by the name you asked about but it sounds like it might be the speed sensor.
The speed sensor is located at the back of the engine. The plug for it mounts and plugs in by the firewall.
Look for black wires(Insulated 3 wires in one sleeve) that go to a plug with 3 wires. It will either have a white or yellow band around it.
