okay the daughter messed with the radio before I could get the code, so I guess it's in locked mode..can I just disconnect the battery or do I have to have the radio on for 2 hours before the CODE will come on the radio again?

 

well when this happened in my old 850GLT itook it to a volvo shop and get the computer reprogramed then i could punch in the code. but i also think you can leave it on for around 2 hrs to be able to punch in the code again.

Although it is for the S/V70 it should apply. If you do not have the code contact a Volvo dealer quoting the VIN number and he will supply the code. If the radio is not the original radio then quote the serial number from the radio and the code can be obtained that way. This is a free service.

 

I disconnected my battery and when reconnected radio dial read code. With radio on, I punched in my code and all was OK. I don't understand why one should wait before punching in code. It's only lost when battery is disconnected.
