Exhaust - What are these ports used for?

Default Exhaust - What are these ports used for?

I hope these are for O2 sensors? that would make life easy.

This is in reference to a 1991 240 NA

normally a O2 sensor would be on the front of the catalytic converter... I suspect that port might be for a gas probe for testing the FI, was useful on LH2.2 where the MAF had an adjustment for idle CO
