I just had all my belts replace (would have done it myself but the AC Compressor wouldnt budge), and my mechanic, who I have been going to for years said that I needed a fan shroud........but I can't find that anywhere for a 91.... is my mechanic wrong?

 

Should be the same shroud as any 240 that is equipped with a belt driven fan. Is there not one there at all, or is it broken? The ac compressor has an extra lock nut hidden on the back side.

 

You don't have a electric cooling fan do you?

 

There is no fan shroud (though there is the cover that goes over top of it so you can't easily hurt yourself with the engine running). Yeah, we got the nut in the back.....we loosened every nut we could find that was attached to the compressor, and still couldnt get the dern thing to move. They had to use a pry bar to get it to move at the shop...

nope, no electric cooling fan for me.
