Default Front end/steering wheel vibration

My 89 740 GL has been doing this for a little while now. At higher speeds when I press on the brakes the steering wheel will shutter back and forth about an 10-20 degrees in either direction.

I've replaced my sway bar links since they were worn, the car has 306k miles on it right now. I'm looking more towards the brakes to be the cause. When I brake at slower speeds (<5 mph) I can feel it grab more at different rotations of the tire than others. I'm thinking maybe a bent rotor?

Just looking to see if anyone else has run into this. I have never seen this on a car before where the brakes could affect the steering even with slightly warped rotors.

Agree with above, but at that mileage, might need new rotors.
Also look at tie rod ends, they will cause this issue if they are original and worn. They're cheap to replace and easy to do when teh rotors are being done.

Regards, Andrew.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, just wanted to get a few opinions before I bought parts.
