Default Front windshield molding

Does anyone know where I can find the windshield molding for my 93 Volvo 940T? I got a pretty bad hit from a rock driving down the freeway and called a company to replace the windshield. They would not replace it because they said the molding that is on there is old and they can'nt guarantee it will give a good seal. I found the clips, the glass is not the issue, but my Volvo shop has gone everywhere looking and we can't find it. I really want to replace my windshield.

Thanks

Taking a cue from Pierce, I checked on Tascaparts dot com and found moulding for the windshield had been discontinued. Same for swedishautoparts dot com.

Hmmmm.....maybe JC whitney or ebay???

Good luck!

2 issues here . The molding is only decorative and does not provide a seal. Go to a good body shop and ask them to remove your existing molding without damaging it. It can be done but will take maybe an hour or two to do it. Next you will need to search various salvage yards on the net and in your area. Hopefully you'll luck out and find a set. And last you can drive the car without the trim but make sure you have either the old trim or another set so the glass guy see's he needs to use a thinner bead of adhesive and recess the windshield so the trim will fit. Good luck.
