Smile Fuel Pipe Disconnecting Problem

Hi,
I have a 740 Volvo GL.
Does anyone know why the fuel pipe (at the engine side) would suddenly disconnect itself at both ends?

Any advice is much apprecated.

Well, I can see a fuel line "disconnecting" itself on one end, but suddenly on both ends? The chances of that happening are 2,300,000,857 to one...

Are you sure you are looking at a fuel pipe and not a vacuum line?

one end of the fuel pipe is a threaded connector to the main fuel line from the pump, the other end of the fuel pipe is the fuel pressure regulator, which in turn has the fuel return line back to the gas tank.

what exactly disconnected? pictures might help here.
