this may sound simple but for the life of me i cannot find my fuel pressure regulator. This is what my engine looks like

Also im trying to figure out if my fuel pumps are properly working. While i am in my car i can hear something in the rear sort of whirring sound at idle. If i just turn on the ignition but not start , i do not hear anything at all from the in-tank or main pump. while the engine was running i got under the car and physically put my hand on the main pump but didnt feel anything, i could still hear the whirring pretty loud and it seemed to come from the main pump or the thing next to it. The in-tank pump was replaced 30k ago but i dont think the main pump has ever been replaced. Recently i have felt some hesitation and the other morning i started her up and went back in the house and when i returned she had stalled out. I tried to start and all it did was crank but wouldnt turn over, after i let it sit for a minute or 2 she started right up and i havent had any problems since.


It is a 1982 volvo 245 DL wagon , 2.1 Liter. I have K-jet injection.

When was the last time the main fuel filter was changed?

 

I changed the filter under the hood about 2 months ago, is there another filter?

 

I'm a little rusty on k-jet. I think the fuel pressure regulator is for LH-jet. K-jet uses a control pressure regulator. k-jet.org may have more info.
