Default Fuel pressure regulator question

I have an 84 245 non turbo w/ a 2.3 engine. On my fuel pressure regulator, I can see the inlet line coming from the fuel pump on one side, the out line going to the fuel injector rail on the top side and a vacuum line to the side of the intake/throttle body. The question I have is fuel supposed to spray out of the vacuum line outlet when the vacuum line is disconnected ? If not is this due to a bad diaphram inside the pressure regulator ?

No, there should be no gas or even gas smell... gas smell is the sign of it being bad.

Sure sign of a failed regulator.

lev....ed7...thank you very much. After 2 plus hours searching th web for a cut away view of the regulator, I posted my question. Im assuming its a vacuum operated diaphram to a needle and seat, similar to an older motorcycle carb, but just wanted a second opinion.

Default when fpr in question unplug vacuum and plug hose

so once again i find no simple answer to this procedure on here 3rd time trying to fix different things and ppl way way overcomplicate ****, so here u go, my 02 regina non turbo sat 7 yrs, cheap ebay pump, same filter ,duh,in a hurry then a ebay fpr. worked 4k, then stalling stumbling after idle at lights for 20 secondsish then it would snap out of it after 5 seconds and be fine. i unplugged the vac hose andplugged it then problem went away. spring sticking inside fpr. now driving wout vac line plugged in till china delivers fpr . should be fine. u guys really need to quit trying to be smarter than each pther and simplify things seriously, might even get a real woman if u do....

Default Fpr

Take no long term chances with the China one.
I have piles of Bosch and Regina Fpr in stock if you need any.
