fuel rail with schrader valve be swapped on my 88 740T????

would make life so much easier to diagnose fuel pressure issues.

 

I don't know if the LH2.2 and 2.4 fuel rails are compatible.

Not lame at all. The only difference is whether your 2.2 car uses a cold start injector which connects to the fuel rail. Later models simply used the computer to richen all 4 injectors rather than relying on a 5th cold start injector. If you do decide to go that route, be sure to get the injector clips as well as they are different on the later rails.
