Intermittent working of the gas, battery, temp and fuel gauges - but all at once.
All the fuses are fine and no others shortages occur.
Is it traceable to the key switch?

If it were the key switch it would, in all probability, affect lights, wipers, heater etc.
Check the multi plugs behind the instrument cluster for good connection. Also check the ground wire from the instrument cluster.
There is a voltage regulator for the instruments which has been known to go bad.
