good brand for rear springs?
I apologize if this is a duplicate, I couldn't find anything searching on my own-
I have a '93 240 sedan, sags in the backs and the shocks are shot so I am going to just replace the shocks/springs / throw on some sway bars while I am at it.
Any suggestions on a good set of springs? I have read about IPD sport springs, but I can only find them by the set of 4 and I really can't afford that.
I would be willing to cough up a bit extra since I probably won't be replacing them again, but I CAN get a basic variable rate pair on Amazon for $47 ea..
Thoughts?
Thanks!

keep you eyes on the forsale section on turbobricks.com
i am sure you can find some good deals on used parts. other than that, you will be looking at ~$600 for new ipd springs and decent shocks/struts. also look into http://www.fcpgroton.com/

Thanks - I will. I have a pair of sway bars from a family friend who doesn't drive his 240 anymore, and I have shocks.
I am hoping to spend under $150 for a pair of rear springs which I think puts a brand like IPD out of the question, I was just checking if I can do better than some random variable rate springs from a place like Amazon.com
^_^

Just my 2 cents and you will probably think I'm a jerk for saying it but if you're not in a position to do all 4 corners, there's not much sense in going w/ any sort of sport spring as they lower the car. 240's already look as if they droop. The cheapest thing to do is go to a j/y and get a set of springs. If a j/y is out of the question, then buy them new from one of this forums prime sponsors...fcpgroton.com here http://www.fcpgroton.com/product-exe...ategory_id/182
While I'm on the subject, I've purchased sport spring sets from Skandix, IPD and fcpgroton. IPD springs are made by Skandix, I believe...Skandix is just cheaper. FCP sells Lesjofor progressive rate sport springs. Just my opinion, but they are definitely the best of the 3. But, it's all what you want. Sounds to me like you're on a limited car budget so it is great you've been able to score some sways and shocks. But don't consider lowering half your car...get some stock springs and you'll be fine. If you really want to save some money, buy my rear springs I have listed on turboBricks. They are off of a 73 144 but are identical to 240 springs and have very few mileson 'em. At $50 shipped, you can't go wrong. http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=212106

thanks - I wasn't really attached to the idea of sporty springs, I just wanted to make a slightly informed decision before buying some rear coils
I am getting some from www.fcpgroton.com
Thanks!
