Good news bad news
I finally had my 1990 740 Regina running good after replacing the Air Idle Control, Mass Air sensor, doing a complete tune up with plugs wires distributor cap and rotor button. It ran and drove like a champ for several weeks.
Then my wife brings it home and says it cut off on her 4 times (which is what it was doing before all the work). I look under the hood and the vacumn hose from the fuel regulator(?) on the fuel rail is off. Now it won't start and there is a fan that comes on every time you turn the ignition key on. The fan never came on before and now I can't hear the fuel pump because of the fan.
This car has never run for a whole month and I am ready to set fire to it. PLEASE HELP with advice or bring more gas.

Just got back from the bone yard looking for a fuel pump. The only thing I could find on a (Regina) looks like it is at or in the gas tank. There is a panel in the trunk to access the lines in and out. Do you have to drop the tank to get it out?
