On my 240DL there are two pods available for some type of guages. They are to the left of the radio, which is at the top of the dash, and are stacked one over the other. There is an extra wire in the radio harness that appears to be a hot wire for power. The owners manuel does not indicate that anything belongs there. The black covers over the pods just snap off, and there are mounting points behind them. Is there an amperes guage that goes in there, and maybe something else? I would like to install an amperes guage in one of these pods. Is there an OEM guage that fits?

 

I believe the only stock guages that were made for there are Turbo,Tach,and clock. Im not sure if they made an AMp guage that fits there.

 

http://www.hyperocity.com/volvo240/volvoaccessories.htm has part numbers and prices for new guages. I would just go to the bone yard and pull one off of a turbo.

 

Cool! I would really like to add the volt meter, my clock is to the left of the speedo. Maybe I can find a tach to fit in the other pod.
