i own a 93' volvo 940 turbo, and only recently over the past few months i've been having a major problem with the car. the engine will rev by itself without putting any pressure on the gas peddle while in park, also it accelerates while in drive without putting any pressure on the gas and it is becoming increasingly harder to brake. any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

 

You have a throttle problem.
It may be a vacuum leak.
