Headlight Failure 1989 740
Low beam lights stopped working, they do come on when I switch to high beams. Break lights work and there is 6.03v on output side of low beam fuses so I do not think it is the lamp failure relay. On pin 56b of the lamp failure relay there is 6.03v so I think the high/low beam switch is working. When i turn the **** for the low beams i can also hear a relay clicking. Right now all the lights work, instrument panel, tail lights, break lights etc..except for the low beams. Anyone have any suggestions where to go next?
Thanks in advance for any help.

RE: Headlight Failure 1989 740
If your bright lights have to be held to use your lights, check your "K" relay. With your car off (probaly No keys), Put the "J" relay, in place for the "K", don't worry about filling J spot for this, its only temporary. They are not the same, but can give you lights. If when plugging in the J in the K spot, and you get lights, go to a junkyard, and purchase a K relay. You can buy new, also, up to you.
If you leave the J in the K spot to long, you can destroy other things. Only keep in no more than 3 seconds to check for a bad K relay, then remove it. Remember to put you J back in its position.
I have no doubt by your description this is your fix.
