Default headlights, dash lights, warning lights flicker slightly

Kind of a weird issue I'm having. 88, 240. The headlights and any other light (bright indicator/brake failure/bulb failure/headlights/dash lights) all flicker slightly. Only the brake failure (brakes are fine, the light is just on) and the bulb failure light are on, and I just changed the alternator about 4-5 months ago. The headlights flicker, but this is barely noticeable. All the lights flicker in the same rhythm. Any ideas?

same happened to me about a year ago. I heard starter, alternator, etc.. All of a sudden, the car died on the highway. Come to find out the battery was bad. Got it replaced with a high power battery and all was right with the world. Hope that helps.

Hey, that's a great start. I'll go get the battery checked at some point. Did you have a hard time with starts, or any other problems, or did it just die on the highway?

I'm wondering if a bad battery will cause any other symptoms, like car not running well immediately after starting it, but runs fine 3-5 minutes later (already changed the engine temperature sensor). When it's running rough right after starting, the car doesn't shifts abnormally. Shift kinda rough and takes longer for the car to decide to shift, but goes back to normal after those 3-5 minutes. For instance instead of shifting as soon as the car gets to 15 mph to 2nd gear, it will shift 2-3 seconds after getting up to that 15 mph shifting speed with moderate acceleration. It would be nice if a new batter would clear all that up, hopefully someone has experienced something like this.

First thing that came to mind is a grounding problem. Check grounds between battery and chassis. Battery cables to the terminals are also suspect. Try the easy stuff first.

Good Luck

X2 seems like a grounding problem to me too.
