Default Information display flicker?

On my S40, occasionally it looks like the information display at the top flickers a bit. Does not seem to happen when I'm stopped and can stare at it.

Is there a way that the display can be tested at the dealer? May just be my middle-age eyesight...

Strange as it is its your eyesight.when I chew I see the numbers flickering on the micro or the oven. You could try to keep hitting the top of the dashboard while otherwise you dont see it flickering. If there is any contact problem it should flicker every time you hit it.

This is normal I suppose, newer 2010 and 2011 have problem with permanent white lines in them, this does not apply to you obviously but thought I had read something on the display somewhere.
