Help: Cheap/Easy Fix? '87 240 Wagon
Hey, I was just hoping someone here could help me out a little.
I found an '87 240 Wagon classifieds ad in my area for a pretty good price if what's wrong with it could be cheap to fix.
So, the poster claims it drives perfectly, states there are no engine or transmission problems whatsoever.
However, they also so write that the headlights, radio, ac, and wipers all died.
I'm no mechanic or expert and have no money for any of the tools etc. to be able to handle DIY projects.
Hopefully someone here might know whether this is a cheap fix? and if so maybe be able to guess an average cost a mechanic would give?
The above info is all I've been able to gather..
If I had to guess it might be a fuse, or alternator or something perhaps?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I think you have a problem with the electric contact plates in the ignition key hole position one (radio).Hope you understand what I mean. You get these problems when the contact in radio, position one there is bad.It is a very simple fault and very easy to fix.Just take off the boards beneath and around the keyhole and have a look.you could fix it yourself or get it done cheaply and easily
