okay..i need help, this is what i got, a 1989 740 turbo(doner car), and a 1987 740 turbo(shell). so i took the powertrain out of the 89 and put into the 87. now i have no spark out the coil, and the fuel pump doesnt turn on, unless i jump it at the fuse box.now im pretty sure i have power at the coil, but just tell me what im doing wrong or is there a write up on this...as i said im new so plz just help me no need for rude comments or bashing. thanks

 

I'm not sure here but check the pump and or system relay, check for a short in the fuel pump circuit ,check the ground, and check fuses. my guess its something with the circuit. but if you don't have the Bentley repair manual it wold be a good investment to pick one up they can be a world of help. good luck and welcome to the forum.
