so i was helping a friend jump his car and my car stalled 3 times while jumping and then a fourth time and since when i try to start it attempts to start sounds like it is going to but doesnt. checked to see for spark and no spark so im not thinking a fuel issue...possibly coil any thoughts need help fast ?

dave, it could possibly be a coil gone bad. But i would also check to see if there is a huge drain on the electronics (alt. batt.) it may be a short that was made while jummping the other car...coils arnt really cheep but since the car wont run with no spark i would check coil, wires, cap and rotor to see if there is somthing that doesnt look right. hope that helped. let me know if you have any other questions.

 

since it seemed to happen after jumping, make sure all the little wires on the + battery terminal are ok. and if it's a 240, look for a white blade fuse holder on one of the wires, they get brittle after a few years, may have popped loose when you were hookin up the cables
