UPDATE!

So after waiting almost a whole week my parts finally showed up. So with a full bottle of seafoam in the tank (and a lil less than half a tank lol) new plugs and wires, i hit the throttle body with some cleaner, and i just soaked my injectors in seafoam. Started up faster than its ever started before. And its been cold for a week. It actually has a little bit of pep too. I know as i got pulled over for Exhibition of Power HAHAHAHAHA. Thanks you guys you have been more than helpfull.

Let me know how it runs when you are about a quarter of a tank and a bit less...mine acts up all weird............i used marvel mystery oil but have not used seafoam....and if i don't use 4oz to a half tank...my k-jet system goes bonkers...! Cant use straight fuel...maybe my injectors are clogged.

what color is Rufus...the Navajo Clay Pastel looking color? that's what my original color was on mine...now it has a dark blue backyard Pablo paint job on....faded hood and roof...no clear coat..?

if your car runs poorly with a low tank, you need to R&R the intank pump. maybe the pump is bad, or maybe the intank hoses are rotted out, but thats almsot always the cause of low gas tank related problems.

Here it goes Pierce:

I replaced the intank pump but during the process as I was undoing the two small nuts that attach the positive, negative connections to the pump, I ripped out the wires.....so I re-soldered them back together...but with the old pump I still had the same problem. well I will trace the fuel lines to see if they are in need of replacement...gratze

Pierce/Rufus...check this url info: Fuel (91 octane RON)
B21A carburetor engines for Canada require 93 octane gasoline.
Unleaded fuel permitted for all models and required for certain models (with catalytic converter).
I use 87 only....I will fill up with 91 and hope for a difference..

USA uses (R+M)/2 as pump octane. 91-92 RON is about 87 (R+M)/2

the fuel hose I was talking about is the little piece inside the tank with the sock on the end.

@ Analogies, Rufus is the brown pastel kinda color. i dunno the name of it, but no fades, but a couple of worn spots and a couple of spots where the clear coat was rubbed off. Basically with a cut and buff it would look perfect. the car is basically mint condition. I'm on a little less than a quarter of a tank (or the "R" line haha) and it is running perfect. i put regular 87 octane in this car. i'm actually going to R&R the tank next weekend when i install the new struts and the lowering springs and put in the 27mm sway bar.

The FRS is a nice car but you may want to spend a bit more on the Subaru version called the BRZ rather then Toyota's version.

You will find the Toyota of old don't exist and they are more like GM with the pretending their cars are perfect and that it must be the customer's fault if it is not. Plus the warranty is a joke(everything is a no covered wear item(I am sorry but a stripped out auto trans shifter head is not a wear item/ nor is a coolant smell in the engine bay) You will find Toyota will sell you a Scion but will then pretend Scion does not exist when there is an issue.

I have been been fighting Toyota to honor warranty on my 2012 XB since I bought it new in late 2011. It is paid off in a few months and then I will dump it at Carmax. I will never ever ever ever buy another Toyota again.

Good luck on your Volvo and your FRS purchase
