Default Hit something very substantial going 30 mph :(

As i was driving tonight i hit SOMETHING, im guessing it was a cinder block or a giant rock. When i lifted my car up i saw my transmission pan was scratched to hell, and the cross member that is right behind the transmission was badly bent. Have i signed the death warrant? It now vibrates and sounds really bad when im driving.

Im hoping my local Mieneke can heat the cross-member up and bend it back because if i am not mistaken that is where the bearing support is for the drive shaft, and if that is outta wack could that cause excessive vibration?

Oh and this is a 92 940 sedan.

Rather than try to bend it back, try to find one in the junkyard. Should be rather inexpensive. Is it the crossmember that supports the rear of the transmission or is it the center bearing support?

+1. All those parts are plentiful in the yards, cost nothing! Much better than trying to fix them.
