How to Identify Half Axles on 700's?

How to Identify Half Axles on 700's?
I guess I should have asked this in the other thread...
Volvo tells me to look for a sticker on the driver side axle housing facing rear. After removing the undercoating in the area, there is no sticker to be found. Volvo also tells me that in 1989 the VIN didn't have that detailed information.
So I am left now to guess if my car has a "1030" or "1045" axle set in it.
Anyone have one of these 89 700 Turbo 4spds/OD who knows?
Anyone have any idea?
