Default How to remove rear window on 1989 240 Wagon?

I have to remove the rear window and rear window gasket on my 1989 240 wagon. Does anyone know how to do this?

Do I remove the window from the gasket, then the gasket from the car?
Do I remove the window and gasket from the car together?
How do I remove them? It seems like they are in there very tight.
How do I put the window back in?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they use a really hard butyl rubber. Not like on front windows where its soft and somewhat pliable. You would be better off swapping out a whole gate and paint matching it.

I have been told it is easy to do using a cord/string/rope trick to bend the rubber if anyone knows exactly how to do it this way.

That only works if its soft rubber glue, which i'm 90% sure its not. I'm pretty sure its a fairly hard pressed in rubber with glue on it. My best guess would be to remove the trim around the window and the wiper and anything that might get in the way inside the car. Go to a corner of the window, and using a piece of bass guitar string or piano wire. Try to force it through once you do basically make a sawing motion while going around the window. I have a feeling you'll either break the widow or give up shortly after starting.
