My alternator belt snapped and when I went to replace it I noticed my AC belt was very loose as well.I am not sure if I am overlooking something, but I cannot seem to figure out how to tighten my AC compressor belt. I am guessing the adjuster bolt broke? Is that what I am looking at? If so, what size is the bolt or where can I get a new tensioner. I am new to working on cars, this will actually be my first “project” car.

 

You are missing the part below. They break because the pinch bolt is not tightened after adjustment. Most cars have them on 2 or 3 adjustments using those.
