So I just replaced the steel rims on my 91 240 with some alloys from a 92 240. ( that's what I was told they came off of at least) However im now running into the issue of the front hubs not fitting on but the rears fit fine. Was there a change from the model years that prevent this from working?
Those bent spoke wheel wheels came on 960's. All 240s have tapered front wheel bearings - a 960 has a double ball style - never compared hubs but if there's not room for the hubcaps - the 960 hubs were smaller.
Here's what I did because I did not like the bland center cap https://imgur.io/a/QPeTKAs
1 set of tuner lugs from autoparts store
1 set of 62 52 mm center caps from ebay
a little elbow grease and wheel cleaner

Reason: wrong size of center caps
