Default I can't chang my oil :( motor mount help!

Ok, so i don't know much about my volvo to tell you the truth. But i'm having major problems with it. I tried changing the oil today and i can't take off the oil filter because (apparently) the motor mounts are so blown, that the engine sags to the side and the oil filter is touching the mount (or atleast i think its the mount). So i guess the only thing i can do is just drain and refill with oil. But i can't have this filter on too much longer .......

I don't exactly know what the mounts look like, but i was thinking that i may be able to inject the mounts with polyurethane to make them nice and stiff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

oh, and my car is a 1990 240dl. B230f

also the chek engine light is on. Anyone know what the common reasons are for that?

The engine mounts on your car are rubber mounts. They arent all that hard to replace. If you want you can put a 2x4 on top of a jack and jack up the engine to replace the filter. But you will need to replace the mounts before you wear a hole in the oil pan.Once the mounts are bad the oil pan sits on the front crossmember.

The check engine light could be many things about 50 diffrent things.

Try following instructions from the link above to pull the codes for the check engine light.
