I am new to this forum and want to say thanks in advance for all the help.
I have a 1994 940 with 229,000 miles on it. Here's my problem. It cranks up and runs alittle rough but will run fine when I push on the go pedal. Then it will run really rough and not want to go and then sometimes it dies. Let it sit for a few minutes and it will run good again and then the cycle repeats. Here's what I have done so far. I have replaced the spark plugs, fuel filter and main fuel pump. The old fuel pump was pretty loud. I can hear the new pump as well but not as loud. I put my ear to the gas tank filler and could hear the in tank pump working. i was thinking of changing the fuel pressure regulator next. i took off the hose from the regulator and nothing was coming out, i was told there should be a steady stream of fuel coming out going back to the tank. any help would be great.
