My tachometer tells me I’m idling at 1,500 R.P.M., but it sounds normal, and if I lower the idle to 800 R.P.M like the manual says it sounds very slow and feels like it’s going to stall. Is there any way my tachometer could be inaccurate? I did install it myself.

 

I guess it is possible.
