Default Interchangeable parts?

Hey guys i own an '85 240 dl wagon, which just got torn to bits htis weekend. I got t-boned in the passenger side back tire, which totally bent out the axle, and semi caved in the door. Which is minimal considering the rate of impact, gotta love the steel frames . But anyway, there is a 240 dl wagon that is an '80 down the street and i was wondering if any you happen to know whether or not the 240 interior parts are interchangeable between the years. The engine runs better than my old red, but the inside is gorss. I wanted to know if seats could be swapped and door pannels. Also, a week ago, i just had the whole front rack replaced, could this be moved to the 80 model as well? If anyone has any idea, please help me out, thanks.

P.S. The gears dont click well on the 80 either, could this be a problem? It's just kinda hard to get it into the gear. you have to get it in just the perfect spot.

Default RE: Interchangeable parts?

hello. i am almost positive that interior parts can be swapped easily. the 240 went through minor changes throughout its entire run. I think the only major change made in interior was on the dash. 1980 was the last year for the old dash and console. in 1981 i am pretty sure the newer dash found in all later model 240 was installed. other than that, i dont see why parts from ur 85 cant be used without much transfer problems. in terms of the front rack i dont see why this cant be moved as they didnt change much either. its worth a try.
