key stuck in ignition

i have a 940 with a key stuck in the ignition, its the original key that came with the car. any ideas? thanks guys.-Tim

Why is it stuck? Is the key bent? If liquid wrench and some muscle will not get it out, you might want to call a Locksmith.

Also make sure the car is all the way in park and the button on the handle is out.

Try turning the steering wheel when removing it. Sometimes when the wheel locks it jams the key in, it's happened to me a few times.

be careful I had to replace the ignition lock mechanism on my wifes 740. It had to be ordered by vin # and cost as i remember $135 i do not remember it being a pleasant job.
