I just purchased a 1994 940 Station Wagon. I'm pretty sure it is the base model. All I received was one key with the vehicle.
Question: Does this year of Volvo use a keyless remote?

I believe Keyless wasn't avalible till 1995 and the 940 never saw it.

 

Hey, I DOUBT that this car used keyless entry....But you can do what i did, and install one, I got a steelmate 888A,,,it has remote start also, it opens and closes the doors, its great, you should get a keyless entry alarm ...They will also sell a thing that you install at your door so when you press UNLOCK on the controll all the doors unlock and when you press LOCK they lock

 

no, i know for a fact none of the 94's had it built-in...did you happen to notice an alarm or some kind of relay like that suggesting there was one? because an aftermarket one might've been put in by the previous owner/s

 

Thanks for the replies. The only reason I asked was that there are key fobs for sale on e-bay which state they work on the 940 so that got me to thinking that just maybe it had this feature installed from the factory.

well...don't forget that the 940 ran longer than 94...

 

The UK '94 and onwards 940 had keyless remote fitted. Maybe what you are seeing on eBay is for the UK models.
