The key locks and unlocks my glove box in my '94 940 volvo wagon, the **** will rotate but box will not open. I've tried prying w/putty knife with no success. Any suggestions?

 

got a solution for you.

you need to pull out a thin fascia piece that runs the length of the dash from the pass. side to the beginning of the gauge cluster. then there is another fascia piece that is between the the center vents and the the pass vent on the far right. if you pry this piece out pulling from the top, you should be able to access the locking mechanism.

this is of course for my 89 740 gl
