Default Loose wire not connected engine bay

See attached photos, unable to determine what this wire is for? The wire does have power running through it. The wire was hanging down against the firewall. This is for a 1988 244 DL.

Needshelp, that wire is one of two that go to your a/c compressor. It is supposed to run underneath all that intake stuff and connect to a female connector in a plastic jacket clip that has the same green color. There is also a black wire connector near there also; check to see if that one is hooked up. I gather that your a/c doesn't work; if it does, someone ran a bypass circuit around it.
