Default Lower Chassis Brace...worth it?

IPD is having a sale so I'm picking up a few items for my 740 turbo wagon. I'm at the point where the car is running well enough to start thinking about bettering the performance.

So....do you guys think that the lower chassis brace is worth the 76 bucks IPD wants for it? My eventual plan is to do as others here have done and build a 3" cat-back and increase the boost to around 11 or 12 psi.

Is money better spent elsewhere?

Worth the money? Unless you can make or source one cheaper, I guess the answer is yes. It is definitely worth having; makes a *very* noticeable improvement. On your first drive after you install it you're gonna wonder why it isn't just standard equipment. You'll also want to get the upper strut brace and, again, you will notice the difference.

You didn't mention what year your 740 is; if it's an '87 or older, I have a set of IPD sway bars that may interest you. Came off of a "cash for clunkers" car I found in the wreck yard. Front one won't fit my '91. I'll be posting them in the "for sale" section of this forum in the next couple of days, after I order my new ones from IPD. In any case, go for the brace - you've spent more money on dumber things...

ha ha, awesome, I'm getting it.

My wagon is a '92, otherwise, some anti-sway bars would be great.
