Default moms 240 gas smell

Hey guys,
My mom just bought a 88' 240 wagon. It is an amazing car, I will post some pics so you guys can see what a find she got. The car runs great but it has a slight fuel smell while running. Is this normal or is there a fix? Thanks in advance for your help.

Chet

Gas smells are never normal. She should have it checked out before it catches on fire.

I agree not good, check around the fuel rail, is the fuel filter located in the front engine compartment, I believe it's on the drivers side near the fire wall.

Thanks guys
The mechanic who restored the car said that it had been sitting for a couple years and something may have worn out.
he gave her a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty on the car though so he is fixing it now

Thanks again,
Chet

Check that it is round.
