Default Moog end links 88 240

hi, been replacing a lot of my front suspension on the '88 240.
bought some Moog end links that are apparently supposed to go on the 240. When i received them and tried to put them on, i came across kind of a big problem. there is absolutely no space for a sway bar in there...the top of the nut is already only halfway on straight out of the package (see pics). wondering if anyone encountered this problem and how to install...is there a press of some sort?
thx

On my 940 I replaced that lollypop style sway bar end link. On the end w/ the 2 rubber bushings the top one you have lookes correct, the second one does not look like the correct one. They were the same on mine, not 2 different ones.

See pic, I just took this on my car. Good luck.

yeah, i was thinking i was going to have to buy a new bushing kit to replace the bottom one on the new one...it's so silly...when they were packing it didn't they think "hey wait a sec, the top nut barely goes on...hmm...i wonder if this is ok"
