Lightbulb motor from a 244 dl.. i think its a red block.. b20 or b21f idk lol

well I totaled my 87 244 dl.. but the motor is great and starts right up. just wanted some advice idk what to do... I would sell it but I have no idea what its worth. I want to put it in another car without an engine(cheaper) like a pt cruiser or something just for fun... just wish someone who knows about this motor could teach me something

putting the RWD volvo engine in a FWD car like a PT Cruiser would be really really hard. I'd say impossible, but with enough engineering skill, anything is possible.

It can be done. I know someone who put a GM Vortec from his crashed Trailblazer into his Toyota Celica with a blown engine.

But he spent tons and tons of hours getting that Vortec in and he did did all the wiring and tuning by himself. That thing is FAST!!

That being said, you might have an easier time finding a RWD platform and swapping your driveline out to that car. Volvo 240, 740, 940. Potentially, Mercedes w123, 201? Or even maybe the Merkur (you should be able to buy those dirt cheap)

gawd, a B230F in a Mercedes E series (w123, w124) would be a slug. those cars (I have 3 W124's) are about 1000 lbs heavier than the volvo 240, and their normal 6 cyl 3L/3.2L engines have between 180 and 225 HP, vs 115HP for the B230F.
