Default My "new" 240 wagon

I am the proud new owner of a 1992 240 Wagon, and am thrilled!

I have always liked the looks of these, but rarely do I find one locally in decent shape. Bought it from the original owner, who had not only records of service but great stories about his/family use of the vehicle. In fact, I honestly think he was a bit sad to sell it to me.

Looking forward to a long ownership.

Sounds like it should give years of service. '92 is a good year for the 240 wagon. Just about bullet proof.

Post a pic when you get a chance.

If you've never had a Volvo before i just have one thing to say, put it in your will now who gets it when you die because it will still be running, i guarantee it.

I've owned 3 240s, and none have ever made me walk. In 2 cases, there was nothing wrong with them when I sold them; I just got tired of looking at them. I wanted something different. I had one of those groovy reddish-brown late '70s wagons, with a manual tranny, that I wish I still had. Because....... nobody makes brown cars

I hope this is not a blanket statement? but I too like the looks of the 240 Wagon and might be interested in looking for one in the near future. Here in Southern California there seems to be "tons" of these ole girls on the road still and look great. My question is what would be an average cost for one in "good" condition(Early 1990's model). In other words one that has to have very little work other than maybe some small cosmetics or something very minor under a $100 or so. Just curious. I currently have a 1988 760 Turbo Intercooler Sedan and like it alot, but would like to find a wagon. Might go the 740 or 760 wagon , but the 240 really interests me alot. Anyway if anyone knows and average price I'd be grateful. Thankyou in advance.
