Default My new used Volvo 240 wagon

Just saying hello, I purchased a 1991 volvo 240 wagon about 2 weeks ago. It has 145,000 miles on it and I do not know much about the service history. My neighbor works at the dealership and told me about this car that was for sale, the dealership had put a computer in it recently. It is clean and looks like it has been loved by someone. It drives well, I have had the fuel pump regulator replaced and the check engine light came on this morning. Everything seems to be okay, not running hot or anything, so I will more than likely drive it with the check engine light on.

I love the space and it just seems like a smart car, I am not a hot rod so the power is fine for me, its my first car with working air conditioning in a while and it is great.

I will try to post pictures later.

Vern

Welcome. Stop by an Autozone and they can read the codes to see why the CEL is on. Probably a simple fix, but I would want to know.

Delayed welcome.

Good to hear your 240 was taken good care of. I would double-check on the fluid levels on all fluids, as well as general tune-up items. When I buy a used car, I usually go after all filters & fluids, thermostat, ignition components, rubber parts, brakes, tyres, etc...

Make sure to follow scheduled maintenance to keep it going strong.
