So guys,
Im new to the forum, I have had my volvo for about 2 years now. My family is huge on volvos. I have an '86 240 DL and soon will be in the market for a new car. I am looking into performance mods on the car just to give it a few more horses and make it a little more fun. Also, I am looking for some nice rims (preferably close to stock 15" turbo 240 rims of that year), but I am hitting some walls in these areas. I was wondering if there was anything that anyone would know of to help out. Thanks for the consideration. Love the forum.

P.S. performance wise id like to start out with an intake or some other inexpensive engine mods.

 

There are no stock 240 turbo rims for 86 because there wasn't a turbo 240 in 86. But you can buy draco's or virgo's those are both stock turbo rims of that era.

Performance wise, You can put in a A cam or B cam depends what you have in your car, probably an M cam. You can get those cams for 40-50 bucks and' they'll give you some extra top end. Probably a tune up and a kn air filter might help. Other than that you'll have to spend well over a 100 for any other upgrade. Or just go turbo for like 500 bucks and call it done.
