Just bought an '83 240 and I'm blind while driving at night, because I'm too low in my seat, much too low.

Sure, the seat is a bit tired and the springy bits are now compressed, but there's got to be some way to raise that seat?

Also, any chance I might be able to revive the lower-back support? It looks like there's a **** on the side of the seat for adjustment but it simply spins with no effect.

You will have to replace the foam on the bottom section.
The Lumbar sounds like something broke. Parts should still be pretty easy to find.
