Default Mystery odometer issue

OK so I keep getting the mystery odometer problem on my 89 740. If it sits for a few days the odometer doesn't work but after using the car it just starts working. I guess I'll need to pull it and get it fixed. I don't think it is a gear problem but it's electronic. So my question is does anyone know who specializes in rebuilding/repairing theses. It's at 384 K and I want to continue to put miles on it in memory of my bride. I want it done without resetting the mileage. So anyone know of a repair shop.

I just sent my cluster to these guys: Speedometer & Automotive Repair, Car & Truck Service Lancaster PA - Powl's Speedometer & Auto Repair My speedometer needle was dead, my odometer was racing at over twice the speed, and my fuel gauge would read 3/4 tank right after a fill up. They fixed all of that and added new bulbe throughout. Everything works like new now. A bit pricey at $450, but like you I love my '93 940 and want to drive it for another decade or more.

Thank you and I will look them up. Not concerned about the price so I'll get in touch with them.

I can vouch for this shop which deals exclusively with cluster work. They're crazy knowledgeable and cloned up a replacement for me. https://www.instrumentclusterstore.c...t_clusters.htm
